In Loving Memory of Mabel Gardiner
1938 – 2026
Mabel Roberta Gardiner of Miramichi, New Brunswick, and formerly of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 6, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born in Black River Bridge, New Brunswick on February 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Roberta (MacDonald) Cameron.
Mabel is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Lynch (Michael) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; three sons: Clifford Watling (Adrienne) of Ontario, Kevin Gardiner (Sharon), and Sinclair Gardiner (Huguette) all of Napan, New Brunswick; seven grandchildren: Shaun, Megan, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Christine, Michael, and Gary; six great-grandchildren: Carson, Carter, Hunter, Isabella, Alexis, and Sophia; three sisters: Audrey Smith of Amherst, Nova Scotia, Jean O’Neill of Nanticoke, Ontario, and Frances Johnson of Edmonton, Alberta; one brother, Mac Cameron (Stella) of Hampton, New Brunswick; as well as nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; two husbands: Eldon Watling and Wilfred Gardiner; sister, Alice; and brother, Germain.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held in Black River Community Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to give special thanks to Eastside Special Care Home and Miramichi Regional Hospital for all the care and compassion they have given to Mabel.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
