In Loving Memory of
Charles Andrew (Andy) Lobban
1961 – 2026
Charles Andrew (Andy) Lobban of Miramichi, New Brunswick, husband of the late Diane (Paulin) Lobban, passed away suddenly at his home on February 21, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born in Newcastle on April 26, 1961, Charles Andrew (Andy) Lobban was the son of Charles Earl Lobban and the late Elizabeth (Geikie) Lobban of Miramichi. He spent many years working in retail, where his friendly nature and easy-going manner were well known. More recently, he worked in flagging and security with River Security, taking pride in his work and the people he met along the way.
Andy was a man of gentle spirit and quiet humour. Soft-spoken and kind-hearted, he had a playful way of teasing those he cared about, always bringing a smile to the faces of family and friends. He was an adherent of St. Mark’s United Church and St. Michael’s Catholic Church, and his faith always remained a part of his life.
He found great joy in the simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors. Andy had a special love for riding his side-by-side, relishing the freedom of the trails and the peace of nature. He was also a devoted cat lover, and his cherished companions, Bear and Pepper, held a very special place in his heart.
Andy’s passing was sudden and unexpected, and he left this world with his beloved son, Michael, by his side.
He will be deeply missed by his son, Michael Lobban (Jennifer) of Miramichi; his father, Charles Earl Lobban (Mary) of Miramichi; his sister, Christine Lobban of Miramichi; his brothers, Geoff Lobban of Miramichi, and James Lobban (Jennifer) of Trout Brook, New Brunswick; sister-in-law, Pauline Colette (Robert) of Miramichi; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Besides his beloved wife, Diane, he was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth; his nephew, Clifford Thomas Lobban; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jean and Bertha Paulin.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and the funeral service followed at 2:00 p.m. from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, with The Reverend Father John Fraser officiating.
